SLIPPY AND SLIDE THE SNAILS

Written by

Slippy and Slide were two snails who loved to play and have lots of fun. They would get up to all sorts of mischief together.

At school they would hide the books belonging to the other snails. They made great paper planes and would fire them across the classroom when the teacher was not looking. They would hide the duster and chalk, one time they even hid the teachers desk. At play time they would rub out the hop scotch, jump in on the game of skipping and they tied the goalkeepers laces together so he couldn't save the ball.

At home they were just as bad. They would shoot their water guns from the bedroom window at the poor postman. They would sneak downstairs late at night and have a feast of milk and cookies.

"One day coming home on the school bus they went a little too far! They started throwing rolled up paper at each other and all the other snails decided to join in. Next minute Slippy picked up his homework notebook and fired it up the bus hitting the driver in the back of the head. The driver got such a fright he nearly crashed the bus into a wall. All the snails got a terrible fright.

The next morning Slippy and Slide were marched up to the head masters office. "Do you realise how silly your actions were yesterday?" Head Master Snail asked them. "You could have hurt your fellow snails and damaged the school property" He added. Slippy and Slide had to apologies to the whole school at assembly later that morning. Not only that but they had 100 lines to write, they had to clean their classroom and then at the weekend they had to wash the school bus. They were truly sorry for all the trouble they had caused. "Sometimes play acting can go too far and someone can get hurt" Slippy said. "Yes! we were lucky, I feel terrible for what happened but the main thing is we have learnt our lesson, said sorry, did our punishment and will think long and hard before we mess again" replied Slide.

Slippy and Slide still had fun and enjoyed themselves with others always remembering to be careful.
